Join us for simple, generous camping the way it used to be. Each evening we serve home-cooked food prepared over a live fire, using ingredients grown on the farm or sourced locally and in season. Sit down to a long, delicious meal with friends and family in relaxed, glorious surroundings.There’s no need to worry about babysitters — children are free to roam, climbing cargo nets, building dens and swinging in the trees. No designated drivers either: getting home is just a gentle wander through the meadow. Sip on a cold drink, chat, eat well, and watch the day draw to a close. As dusk settles, bats begin to feed on dragonflies overhead. Lie back in the grass and drift off after supper if you fancy .

The birth of Hop & Hare farm
We offer beautifully crafted hot showers, regenerative toilets, and incredible views across the South Downs. There’s plenty of space here: big skies, wide views, and generous room between pitches, plus a small woodland with dens and a swing to explore.
If you’re a seasoned camper with all the gear, perfect. If not, we have pre-pitched canvas tents available to hire — ideal for trying camping for the first time or pitching up alongside friends

Our Mission
To combining old, tried-and-tested farming principles with modern practices, we intensively farm small areas of land using no-dig and companion planting, succession planting, and natural fertilisation. Everything works in harmony, resulting in the production of fresh, local, sustainable food that will be available for you to buy or eat when camping or attending our wellness sauna.
The heart of our business is a successful campsite that offers a range of camping options, including self-pitch, bell tents, horsebox trailers, and cabins, across 20 acres of woodland and wild meadows. Inviting people to absorb the natural surroundings, experience some of the well-being events such as woodland bathing and meditation cocooned in hammocks with blankets & rain covers, guided to ground and restore in nature, or unwind tired stressed muscles in our woodfired sauna, topped off with home-grown food cooked over glowing wood embers to nourish your body.

Sauna - Well
Creating a bridge between personal health and community well-being the sauna is the new pub, recharge mind body and soul.
With our 2 large panoramic windows everyone is able to view the changing seasons outside whilst enjoying the heat from the stove. The sauna can fit up to 14 people but for a community session we limit this number to 10 people.
Healthy Cooking
Camping here brings you closer to nature in the most natural way. While locally sourced and home-grown food cooks gently over a wood fire, children can spot buzzards, owls, and red kites overhead, with birds and dragonflies dancing through the fields. From pitching your tent to walking together to collect your freshly cooked meal, every moment feels relaxed, welcoming, and full of simple outdoor adventure for all ages.
Beyond camping
Our campsites have always done things a little differently. We’re wonderfully flexible when it comes to pitches — bring your own tent, no problem at all. Camping with friends and want to stay together? Absolutely, we’ll group you together.
If some of your party would prefer a little extra comfort, bell tents can be added to your booking and freshly set up for you on arrival that weekend. We know that amping isn’t for everyone, our cabins offer a cosy alternative, allowing you to enjoy the natural surroundings without sacrificing comfort.
